I did have another little visitor. My sis actually said this guy looked a bit bigger than the last one, but he's still on the tiny (kinda adorable) side v. the bigger (and kinda scarier) side.
This time, I almost squashed the poor fella, 'cause I was brushing my teeth in the bathroom and didn't see him as I stepped back. Something made me look down and about 2 centimeters away from my foot was a baby snake.
So far, for his coloring and such I've found one possible type: Northern Ringneck. They're apparently small fellas, who don't normally bite, but will leggo an A-bomb (how fitting and thank god that hasn't happened either time with me). They have been found in our county, and prefer wooded areas (which is, like, right outside my door, so).
So, maybe that's what they are? If anyone has a better guess? Anyway, I hope that's it for tonight. As it is, I don't think I'm gonna sleep a wink at all. I can already imagine feeling tiny little snakes everywhere.
Argh.
Oh gah!! It gave me the shivers just seeing the pictures of your baby snake, Sunny! Yuck yuck yuck!
ReplyDeleteI trust your trio won't try to catch and eat the reptile, yes? The snake isn't poisonous, I hope, but still - brrrrrr! I hate 'em!!
Hugs to your gang and tell them they're lucky they don't live in Oz where ALL ... well, maybe not ALL but enough of the snakes are big and bad, as well as the spiders! Blarg :)

ReplyDeleteYou know, I don't know if they'd try to eat them. If they saw one, I KNOW they'd at least play with it (which is bad and luckily, they were up when I found that snake in their room). They've caught and eaten bugs before...
...and I don't think this guy is venomous--I think these little guys are just after bugs and with the woods so close they just kind wander in and get lost.
I just hope I don't see any more!
